Thanks for rallying around foster children

November's Cedar Rapids Adoption Friday was a great day as we celebrated the adoptions of local children from foster care. Thank you to all the community members and court professionals who made this day so special, including Hy-Vee for donating food and to Kevin Slater of Fairfax State Savings Bank for honoring each child's adoption with a savings bond.

It's wonderful to see our local community rally around children in foster care. There is a large need for foster and adoptive parents in Cedar Rapids, and with love and support from nurturing families and community members, these kids can reach their full potential.
