Thank you to Cooper’s Place, people of Ryan
The Gazette Opinion Staff

During the blizzard of Jan. 26, my son and I were traveling south on Highway 13 when we experienced near whiteout conditions, which made traveling nearly impossible.
We made the wise decision to turn off into the town of Ryan where we found the only business open was Cooper's Place.
The manager quickly assured us that they would remain open until everyone had a place to spend the night.
A family in Ryan took us into their home for the night and made us feel very welcome.
What was a very dangerous situation for us turned out to be a warm and pleasant evening. The kindness shown to us by the people of Ryan was heartfelt and deeply appreciated.
