Thank you to Caitlin Clark, the GOAT

Thank you, Caitlin Clark, for playing basketball here in your home state of Iowa where the roots of girls’ basketball run deep! Thank you for staying “home” to share your talent, your hard work, your joy in the game and bringing fans from near and far as well as “new” fans to Hawkeye women’s basketball and the state of Iowa. My husband and I have loved watching you play and grow the sport and as well as watching all your teammates!

It has been a joy to see your teammates improve and play so well along side of you which makes it so hard to say goodbye not only to you but to some of them as well. You can be assured that we will be at Carver next season supporting Coach Bluder, staff and players as they continue to carry forward this women’s program that you have elevated so memorably in your unique and special ways. And, of course, we will be watching and cheering for you in your next chapter in the WNBA.

Finally, thank you for sharing the wealth of your fame and accomplishments through your Caitlin Clark Foundation that will provide many benefits off the court to youth and their communities through education, nutrition and sport! You are indeed the GOAT in our hearts!
