Tea Party-GOP’s demands too costly
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 13, 2011 12:00 am
This debt ceiling fiasco has reached a new low in governing. The real Tea Party-GOP agenda is to kill the U.S. government with privatization. No social and health care safety nets, courts, IRS, education, police or fire departments, roads, buildings, schools, social services, national parks or airports.
If you think there is abuse in government-run programs, wait until the private companies run them. Halliburton, Blackwater, Enron and Spiro Agnew wannabes are salivating for privatization.
I am reminded of the scene in the movie “Blazing Saddles” where Cleavon Little's character points his gun at his head and tells the locals to give him what he want or he'll kill himself. The locals gave in to him. That is the Tea Party-GOP. Give me what I want or I'll kill myself and everyone else.
