Taxpayers fund lake work; drop motor limit

In response to Bob Burns' Dec. 14 article “Macbride motor limit for our safety”:
I have been to Lake Macbride many times fishing and have never seen a bass boat speeding as shown in the picture he submitted. Pleasant Creek Lake has a no-wake law that allows boats with motors larger than 10 horsepower to be on the water. This is fair to all, not just the few. We all paid for the restorations made on Lake Macbride with our taxes and I feel we should all be allowed on the water regardless of our boat motor size as long as we obey the no-wake law. Those who do not obey should be fined and not allowed back. Hopefully, Iowa Legislators will allow the majority of boat fishermen with larger than 10 horsepower motors to fish Lake Macbride.
