Taxes are keeping people out of Marion
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 30, 2011 6:03 pm
Be sure to vote May 3, Marion needs the 50 percent of the local option sales fax funds to pay for street improvements since one intersection in north Marion already cost $54,881 and is not done yet and that was only a partial payment.
When done, Marion will have a north bypass and a south bypass. Why redo Seventh Avenue? No one will be using it anyway.
More and more people tell me they try and stay out of Marion. Why?
Gee, 30 percent is going for property tax relief. The last tax vote raised our property tax.
