Tax dollars are not spent where they should be

I would like to thank the mayor of Cedar Rapids and the mayor of Marion for the outstanding jobs they have been doing. It seems our tax dollars are not hard at work fixing the streets. The potholes keep getting bigger and more expensive as years go by.
I am sure that the automotive industry would like to thank you because without you and the potholes, they would probably not have any business. As it is now, repair shops are probably making a killing realigning cars, fixing struts and replacing tires that are devastated by driving down streets that have been neglected and forgotten.
For example, Blairs Ferry, that first little section after you turn on it from First Avenue. I imagine everyone now knows what the pioneers of this state felt like when they started to come here in covered wagons. Seventh Avenue in Marion is kind of like a carnival ride. You have to go back and forth and up and down to avoid missing the pot holes.
But thank you again for making sure our tax dollars are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. I do appreciate.
