What qualities do you want in a coach for yourself or your sons and daughters and grandchildren? Steve Kerr our Olympic gold medal coach had some insightful thoughts in his recent speech at the Democratic Convention,
"I believe that leaders must display dignity. I believe that leaders must tell the truth. I believe that leaders should be able to laugh at themselves. I believe that leaders must care for and love the people they are leading. I believe that leaders must possess knowledge but with full awareness that none of us has all the answers."
We all want success in the future for ourselves and the people we love. When given the opportunity to choose our coaches and leaders, select men and women with the character traits Coach Kerr described.
