Suspending gas tax comes with consequences

President Joe Biden has called on Congress to suspend the federal tax on gas and diesel so that Americans will have some relief. Yes, Americans will be more than happy to pay less at the pump, but there is a consequence. There will be fewer tax dollars collected which means fewer dollars going to the nation's transportation system. How many drivers are satisfied today with our roads and bridges? I for one am not.
I realize that the solution to this problem is more complicated than what I offer today. Joe: Drill baby, drill.
An increase in oil supplies will drive down gas prices. Then you can address the higher cost of beef by increasing cattle numbers by possibly allowing cattle to graze on the White House lawn.
