‘Survivor’ winner appreciates support

It's hard to believe that a year has passed since Diana Nollen and The Gazette helped to announce and kick off an incredible “Survivor” experience. Throughout the process and a year later, I continue to be amazed by the ongoing support and interest of family, friends, and strangers alike. Those quick hellos at Target, the high-fives at the grocery store and the hollers along the trail, all remind me how lucky I am not just to be an Iowan but to live in this community.
I greatly appreciate the support and hope to continue to do my part to pay it forward.
