U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst needs to do what is right for Iowans and Americans and support the Special Counsel Transparency Act. It is bipartisan legislation introduced by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., that 'requires that a Special Counsel submit a report directly to Congress and the public at the conclusion of an investigation, if the Special Counsel is fired or transferred, or if the Special Counsel resigns.”
Ernst should publicly support this bill and implore Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to bring this bill to a vote.
Congress and the public deserve to know the findings of Robert Mueller's report. With William Barr serving as attorney general, it is possible the findings would be kept from the public in order to protect the president. Mueller has been investigating Russian interference and collusion for almost two years. We have a right to know what has been found. The people have a right to know, and Ernst should work to put country before party.
