Support of Sanders leads to same place

The first things I would like to say about Bernie Sanders are: He is a brilliant person and I believe him to be genuinely concerned about Americans of all stripes and from all backgrounds. Those areas have never been issues for me.
I do, however, take exception with tactics used by some staffers and volunteers with his previous presidential campaign. There were far too many reports of Hillary Clinton supporters being verbally abused, abused in electronic communications and being the recipients of threats and acts of intimidation. Then, when they did not get the nominee they wanted, these 'progressives” flipped in favor of President Donald Trump.
Sanders needs to do a lot of soul searching and own the facts. Many of his supporters were thug-like in their treatment of opposition voters and vindictive in the votes they cast. And Sanders did little in the way in keeping his group under control.
The end results were discord when the campaigns were active, and a Democratic Party that still has open wounds three years hence.
No, I am not at all happy with Sanders' entry into the 2020 race because of the caustic strife Democrats endured during the last cycle and because it was a divided Democratic Party that led to the election of a horrible president. We have been down this path; retaking it leads to the same place.
