I am writing to support two candidates for Linn-Mar school board this November. Geralyn Jones is a mom that wants to get involved in the education of her young children. She is willing to learn and can bring team building, optimism, leadership and drive to the table. She's willing to listen to all sides of the issues brought to the board. For example, she wants to ensure our buildings are providing a safe and effective learning environment and wants options available for those with special circumstances. She would like to work with other board members, parents, students and the Superintendent so that all voices are heard. She would like to bring the desperately needed communication to the forefront.
Matt Rollinger is a passionate father of a special needs son that has been fighting for seven years now to get basic needs for children like his own. This is something that I believe is lacking on the current board, and Matt can bring a special skill set to LM. Matt would like to ensure that all points of view are heard and discussed honestly before decisions are made by a handful of people, ensuring all input and opinions are considered and that transparency takes place. Please consider these two worthy candidates in the upcoming election on Nov. 2.
