Support Fred Hubbell for governor

I want to encourage Iowa Democrats to turn out and caucus for Fred Hubbell as our next governor of Iowa at 7 p.m. Feb. 5. We are fortunate to have a strong field of Democratic candidates to retake the governorship this year. In the best of all political worlds, I might be looking for younger and more activist faces to support.
This is not the best of all political worlds. It is essential, in my opinion, for us to flip statehouses and Congress if we are to reverse the unfortunate and even dangerous course on which this country is embarked. And, Hubbell is actually electable.
He combines fiscal experience in the private sector, experience in state government, and lifelong support of progressive values reflected in his commitment to Planned Parenthood, the United Negro College Fund, and Urban Dreams in Des Moines.
Hubbell has the name recognition and background as a businessman and community leader to defeat Republican incumbent Kim Reynolds and to ensure that our state budget reflects the priorities that I, at least, believe in, including educating our children and providing affordable health care for every Iowan.
