Support Eastern Iowa businesses beyond holiday season

While many Iowans are celebrating the winter holidays with their families and friends, it is also a great time to support local small businesses. For many small business owners, such as myself, this time of year is critical to meeting our bottom line.

As the owner of Glassando in Iowa City, I thought it was important to do my part in supporting the small business community, which is why I started the Iowa City area restaurants, small businesses, live music, and events Facebook group. Here, you’ll not only find a supportive community, but also some of the amazing businesses and events that Eastern Iowa has to offer.

Once the world moves past the winter holidays, I encourage everyone to continue to shop local no matter where you are in Iowa. Small business owners will provide you with the personal touch you can’t find elsewhere and you’ll know your product will be crafted with care.
