Summer of the Arts provided fun all season

Many thanks to Summer of the Arts for all the great festivities in downtown Iowa City this summer. Special recognition goes to Mary Frieden for her endless efforts to make this all happen. This past weekend (Aug. 28-30) was the first Sand in the City. It was very well attended by all ages, and a particularly exciting activity for young families. If you missed it, be sure to attend next year.
What diversity Summer of the Arts presents to all who visit downtown! Friday night concerts, movies on the Pentacrest, Jazz Fest, Arts Fest and Sand in the City are just a few of the great festivities.
I know this is accomplished by many volunteers and by your donations. I encourage you to help support this amazing organization. We thank all the volunteers who add these pleasures to our lives. This is why we who live and work here love to call Iowa City home.
