Successful Polk is vital to neighborhood

I have watched my first-grade grandson flourish under the guidance of the Polk Elementary School staff. That school is vital to the neighborhood and instills pride in its students.
I witnessed this pride first hand at the “Polk Pride” rally organized by the teachers to celebrate their terrific academic strides - narrowing the achievement gap and being removed from the federal Schools in Need of Assistance (SINA) list.
Don't close Polk. Its success is worth saving!
