Substance missing from Benghazi hearing

To the editor:
Politics trumps substance in the Benghazi hearing. Republican committee members were after facts while the Democrat members were after Republicans. The progressives on the committee kept emphasizing the 11 hours and numerous hearings. Yet, during the course of the hearings, the bulk of the time was consumed on mundane commentary, including Hillary Clinton's stretched-out responses.
Just hours after the Benghazi attack, Clinton told her daughter it was an organized assault and not a spontaneous one due to the video. Even so, the White House, days later, sent Susan Rice to propagandize the video issue on five television shows. When government lies to the people, the nation is in trouble. And when the main media become partisan cheerleaders instead of watchdogs, it means 'We The People” are no longer a valid component. God help the United States of America.
