Subsidies, court ruling need top-level attention

Recently, three women were assigned to top-level jobs in hopes they can repair some of the faults caused by men over the past years: Scheila Bair (FDIC), Mary Schapiro (SEC), and Elizabeth Warren (TARP).
Two major issues must be coming to their attention in the near future. One issue is the new Supreme Court ruling that allows industries to contribute to political campaign funds. The other is the agriculture subsidies that have been mishandled for many years.
The subsidies were started to offset farm need caused by floods and drought. The plantations of the South saw an opportunity to work the system to their advantage by contributing heavily to the political campaigns of their congressmen. In recent years, there have been hundreds of billions of dollars sent to those with no need. This allowed mega-farms to outbid midsized farms for land and rents. This caused an extreme reduction in the number of midsized farms and, in effect, industrialized farming.
And now this change by the Supreme Court can easily develop in the same manner as above, making the rich grow richer and diminishing the middle class.
So, ladies, this will be a major concern for you. Will we have a middle class or not?
