Student write-in candidate for board

To the editor:
I'm the student running as a write-in candidate for Cedar Rapids Community School District's school board. With talking and growing with adults and students, I have realized there are a lot of issues in the Cedar Rapids schools and I want to fix them for me and you.
My friends, there is no greater test of courage and strength then to be a candidate for office that is for ideas. I can't take office but, this campaign of ideas can win on Sept. 8 when you, the citizens, can send a clear message that you have had enough. I'm here to be a voice for you. I'm asking for you to write-in Matthew Haile for school board.
