I wholeheartedly endorse my friend Jenny Struthers for Coralville’s city council. Her deep understanding of the law and finance, her ability to engage a wide variety of people to solve problems and her unwavering focus to make our community a better place are why I believe Jenny would make an excellent city councilor.
My wife and I met Jenny while our daughters (now sophomores in college) were in preschool — it was as apparent then as it is now that she is a natural leader who simply gets things done. University Preschool, Wickham Elementary, Northwest Middle School, West High and our scout organizations have all benefitted immensely from Jenny's tireless advocacy, volunteerism and fundraising. I have seen parades, after-proms, countless banquets and events that Jenny made happen often by sheer force of will and organizing other volunteers to help.
When making decisions big or small, Jenny is one of the most thorough people I know. As a lawyer, she will dissect issues down to details and ask good, pointed questions. As an MBA, she will have a deep understanding of the myriad of financial information that the council decides on. And as a leader, she will listen attentively to all voices in our community.
I have seen firsthand how Jenny has made every institution she has been associated with a better place for everyone and I know she will do the same for the city of Coralville. Please join me in voting for Jennifer Struthers on or before November 4th.
