Stop supporting puppy mills

To the editor:
What a dichotomy between two articles on Dec. 29: 'Dog breeding inspections have increased” (those who exploit dogs) and 'Animal shelter prepares for new era” (Liz Ford, a dog lover).
For those who support puppy mills, consider this: If intelligent beings from another planet came to earth and conquered humans, would you approve of them confining certain ethnic groups to overcrowded prison cells for breeding purposes? If your answer no, then please consider changing your position.
