Stop GOP takeover and restore common sense

Gov. Kim Reynolds, her judicial appointees and Republicans are on a rampage of zealous overreach. They have decided who will choose how we learn, love and live.
Since the GOP takeover, their reckless legislation has resulted in the privatization of Medicaid; more than 10,000 Iowans dead from COVID, people carrying guns into libraries (no background screenings required,) brain eating amoeba in Iowa lakes, and libraries and rural clinics closing. Their fanatical legislation and attack on liberties has made Iowa a less hospitable place for business professionals and our young people to live and thrive.
If Reynolds and her merry band of ideologues succeed, potentially in their bull's-eye are our once-first-class public education, right to decide our own medical care, right to contraception, right to a safe work environment, and the right to own our beautiful Iowa farmland and keep it secure from multinational corporations.
This November let’s return to legislative common sense. Restore Iowans’ freedom to learn through a quality public education, freedom to be healthy and safe, freedom to privacy (in the bedroom and out) and to ultimately allow us to decide what’s best for us and our families!
