Stop complaining about I-380 cameras

To the editor:
I am tired of hearing people complain about the traffic cameras on Interstate 380. My experience on this issue is first hand and I would like to share it with the readers.
Before the cameras went in, we were making frequent trips to Iowa City to attend our grandchildren's sporting events. All to often it was downright dangerous at the 5-in-1 bridge. Wild might be a better word. People just didn't slow up. Then the cameras went in and the improvement was dramatic. I was surprised how quick it took place.
It's basic, if you break the law and get caught, you pay the piper. That goes for me, too. Things are indeed better on the 5-in-1 and I hope they stay that way. This improvement was truly needed.
