Stop caving to corporate interests

It is time for the Iowa Legislature, especially its GOP wing, to stop caving to large corporate interests. Their push to force stores to carry eggs from caged chickens defies explanation, except to once again bow to pressure from big ag. To base their position on the backs of the poor is hypocritical.
Simply put, cage-free egg production is more humane and many people are demanding that their food be sourced from humane farms. To legislate that stores must sell eggs from caged hens violates the tenant of free enterprise, so often touted by the GOP and our current president. Once again, follow the money if you need to rationalize this legislative anomaly.
