State tournament run was one to remember

I would like to congratulate my alma mater, Alburnett, on its state basketball tournament run. Watching the best Class 1A team of farm boys play for our state's championship was fun and for a little bit reminded me of games from days gone by.
The nice thing about sports is that, unlike life, the real champions are those that go the furthest from their expectations. I think people will be talking about Mackey's put-back against Remsen for a long time. Go Pirates.
