To the editor:
Whoa! Programmed as State of the Union, given was the State of the People address, along with the goals of the Obama administration.
A State of the Union address should have included the $18 trillion to $19 trillion indebtedness and to whom owed, the commerce between nations and the several states, the invasion of 12 million to 15 million immigrants, Social Security cards and driver's licenses to immigrants who are here illegally, the status of our defense (military) forces and other positives and negatives on the status of the nation.
In the State of the People address, President Barack Obama omitted to state that We the People are the government. That through the sovereignty of each individual state where the president and elected/appointed personnel are a contracted service. He threatened vetoes against the will of the citizens before receiving congressional actions. He omitted to reveal the release of dangerous terrorists from the Guantanamo prison while stating his one person desire to close this facility against better advice. Not mentioned were unlawful executive orders and legislation by the oval office and by some judges and others.
The State of the Union address was deplorable. Compliance with laws and the Constitution could restore the lost freedoms and a stable nation.
