Stars’ millions could repay loans
The Gazette Opinion Staff

It would be nice if some millionaire athletes would create a huge fund to repay student loans. Or if they would pay off existing loans.
Some of these athletes have an annual salary of $16 million or more. Why does a baseball player need millions to sit in a dugout? I can understand football players salary. In 10 years, their bodies are beat and battered. Most of these athletes went to college.
Also, instead of actors spending millions on clothes for award shows, why not make a fund for student loans? Don't give the money to President Barack Obama to put more people on welfare and get us more in debt.
While I'm wishing, let's bring our troops out of the Mideast to guard our borders and schools.
