Stand your ground law needs changes

When is Iowa going to change the stand your ground law so it means something? It is so vague that criminals are using it at will.
When two people outside a bar are shooting at each other and file a stand your ground plea, something is wrong. Some innocent bystander is going to get shot and killed before this law is changed.
Our court system is weak and politicians are busy focusing on issues other than mental health and criminal activity in our city.
Something is going to happen that is irreversible and then everyone is going to wonder why. How did this happen? Some innocent family is going to be grieving a loss.
