Stacey Walker will lead us forward

As longtime residents of our city, we are writing to express our full support for Stacey Walker for Board of Supervisors District 1. Why, you may ask?

Walker has demonstrated his engagement with our community and a deep commitment to bring disparate groups together and promote common goals. He continues to show a strong ethical sense and intellectual sense of duty which we admire. We applaud Walker for his ability to listen, care, study and act. Walker hits pay dirt with his ability to form broad coalitions and collaborations.

We settled here after moving with the military for several years. When we arrived in Linn County we saw a complex community working hard to heal from the farm crisis, factory closings and the blight of young folk moving away. We also saw hope as the community pulled together to recover and mentored young and old alike.

We found a home with roots here because of the hope we saw as people helped neighbors and strangers alike. Walker was raised and mentored in this environment. He brings back home the expertise of diplomacy, philanthropy, collaboration, team building and entrepreneurship.

He holds the promise and strength of our county and will do a great job of leading us forward.
