Stacey Walker is a true public servant

Occasionally true public servants emerge in politics. These true public servants investigate and provide positive direction not because issues are popular - but rather because issues are of true community concern. Stacey Walker's actions have proved him to be a true public servant. As such I personally endorse him for Linn County Supervisor District 1 re-election.
I met Stacey while we were both volunteers for a local nonprofit organization that works to raise money for financially insecure students. Even before being elected as a supervisor, Stacey was focused on inclusivity. He knows that today's learners are tomorrow's leaders. He has made both a personal and professional commitment to helping develop positive future leaders.
Having been born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Stacey has a direct understanding of areas where our city is successful. He also has personal knowledge of areas where we need improvement. Stacey's collaborative efforts with other stakeholders to promote racial equity, socioeconomic equity, and gun control is inspiring. Stacey does not steer away from polarizing issues - but rather steers directly into them in effort to benefit both individuals and our community.
Working to level the playing field is the sign of a true public servant. That true public servant is Stacey Walker.
