Stacey Walker is running for re-election to the Linn County Board of Supervisors. Walker is an extraordinary young leader and Linn County is very fortunate to have him in that important role.
He is a Cedar Rapids native whose entire K-12 education took place in Cedar Rapids schools. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa. His roots in our community are deep.
Most importantly, he is a passionate advocate for the disadvantaged among us and a tireless worker for justice, equality and fairness. His voice is clear and strong. As a co-chairperson of the important SET Task Force, he has helped formulate a vision for a safe, equitable and thriving community.
Linn County cannot afford to lose the dynamic leadership of Walker.
We urge you to vote for him on June 5 in the Democrat primary and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.
The two of us have total confidence in Walker and we are honored to speak out on his behalf.
