Sportsmanship displayed on and off the field
The Gazette Opinion Staff

We were at Kennedy High School for a freshman baseball game on July 15. At the start of game two, a foul ball took out the back window on our Nissan. There was not only sportsmanship on the field, but in the parking lot as well.
Fans on both sides, as well as Kennedy staff, came to our aid. Our son, Scott, has said often how great Cedar Rapids is to live in and we saw it first hand. Thanks to a great bunch of people from Jefferson and Kennedy high schools.
