Spirit of giving displayed at Riley’s

To the editor:
After attending church service on Christmas morning we went to Cedar Rapids to Riley's restaurant on First Avenue for an early brunch.
After finishing our meal the waitress informed us our meal was paid in full by a generous individual or individuals.
We wish to thank you very much for your generosity. You truly indeed know and have the true meaning of Christmas and that is the spirit of giving, just as the good Lord also has blessed us by giving his son for our salvation.
Again, thank you, whoever you are and we wish you a belated merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. People like you are truly appreciated.
