Spend money on kids, not photo ops

The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
Page A5 in Nation and World in the March 27 edition was a perfect example of why so many of us are disgusted by the current administration and their grandstanding stunts.
At the top of the page was a large article and picture of Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem, in front of the deported men that we pay El Salvador $6 million a year to keep.
Down at the bottom of the same page was a much smaller article about the administration’s plan to cut teacher-training money. Why? An educated public is harder to fool and control.
I’m not a math whiz by any means, but I would think the millions spent on photo op trips, golfing, firing-rehiring, car commercials on the White House lawn, housing questionably deported men, the list goes on and on, could be spent to help the children of this country receive the honest education they deserve.
Oh silly me.
