Speed cameras have a fan

I have been noticing lots of complaining lately about the speed cameras in Cedar Rapids. It is nice to see that they do work.
As a retired law enforcement person, I think this should be expanded throughout the state.
I think cities should have them in their speed zones outside of their city limits on Interstate-80 as well as I-380. They should put up empty camera boxes and not tell you which ones are active and which ones are not.
I think it is wrong to tell you, the speeders and violators, where to be careful of getting tickets.
In no way does law enforcement need to give you, the violator, advanced notice.
Speed limits are so badly violated that I think many people do not care about obeying traffic laws anymore, and there should be a way to stop these people, even if it means raising the fines and using these tactics.
