Snowplow driver’s help made woman’s day

On Jan. 11, after a snowfall the night before, I was clearing our driveway. As I neared the end, I saw one of our city plows starting down our street. He made a couple of sweeps past and when I saw him coming for that last close pass, I waited so I could clean the heavy snow I knew he was going to push in from the street.
He went by a short way, then backed up and got closer to clear more from the drive end and did it two more times. All I had left was one thin little strip to shovel. He smiled, waved and went on his merry way.
My husband passed away three months ago and since I don't know how to use the snowblower, I have learned quickly that the end of the drive after the snowplow has gone by is absolutely the worst part of the job. I am so appreciative to whoever you (plow driver) are. Out of the goodness of your heart, you made my day.
