Smokestack isn’t only way to honor workers

What I don't hear anyone talking about is how would the Sinclair smokestack fit into an exciting, progressive use of that area. It would be a shame if a really great use of the space would be prevented because a huge smokestack was sitting in the middle of it.
The incredible contribution of those who worked for decades at the meat plants deserves to be recognized with a suitable memorial. A smokestack isn't the only way to do so, especially if it has stability/safety/longevity issues.
