To the editor:
In response to David L. Seiler's June 4 letter 'Visitor frustrated by camera placement” and his frustration at receiving three speeding tickets in the last year, I would say this to him: try not speeding.
You are breaking the law, but yet, you want to blame the City of Cedar Rapids. Accept responsibility for your actions.
I've received speeding tickets due to the cameras, too. Yes, it's frustrating, but I learned the hard way to slow down and drive the speed limit.
The speed limit is clearly marked. There are even signs indicating that the speed limits are enforced by cameras. So, my advice? Slow down. Why? Because it saves lives. Period.
