Size of Alliant’s rate increase request is ridiculous

I see where Alliant Energy needs to raise its rates again; never ends, does it? And the Iowa Utilities Board will, of course, OK it. It's one thing to want a small rate increase, but when Alliant asks for a 14 percent raise, that's ridiculous.
The states are going broke all over. Could it possibly be because our politicians don't know what they are doing? Many people out there have no jobs, and live from day to day, and Alliant has the gall to ask for a rate increase like this. Alliant tells us it's needed, but I don't believe what it says.
Alliant should ask the president and Congress to bail it out, but Alliant isn't a bank or financial institution, is it. Every day it gets worse.
