To the editor:
On Saturday night, as I was about to turn in, I happened to glance out our front window and saw an owl alighting on our flagpole.
I know many people would think: 'it's just an owl that happened to land on a flagpole.”
But I thought that the owl is a symbol of wisdom and the flag is a symbol of the United States. How great it would be if the two stayed together for a while.
Several minutes later I looked out once again and the owl was still there. I don't know how long it might stay.
