Shutdown specifics could lead to stalling

The June 22 Gazette editorial (“Iowans deserve a plan and explanation”) regarding the public's right to know specifics of an Iowa government shutdown was thought provoking. Of course, everyone wants and needs to know what lies ahead. There is a lot at stake.
After much thought, I have concluded specifics would only lead to more legislative foot dragging and demagoguery. The obvious solution is the Legislature's completion of its responsibility.
