Show consideration in parking lots

Following this holiday season with parking lots full of busy shoppers, a question that has long been on my mind has come again to the surface as this seems to happen way too often.
As a person is driving down a parking aisle, he or she can plainly see the white taillights of a car slowly backing out of a space. The driver exiting the space is more than likely blind since they are between two SUVs. Hopefully, the other driver realizes the person backing up cannot see but, more often than not, he or she speeds up to get around, and almost causes a crash.
My question: 'What in the world is the person speeding up thinking about?”
