Shelter could use help with confiscated dogs
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 23, 2011 12:05 pm
I volunteer at Cedar Rapids Animal Control and Care and have seen the dogs confiscated from a Cedar Rapids residence in February. The shelter can use retired people to help care for the shelter's regular dogs and cats, so the professionals can work with these poor hoarded animals. This is a terrific strain on the shelter's resources.
If you have time to give on weekday mornings, please get information about the volunteer program. Call the shelter and give these animals and staff a much-needed hand.
