Sequester is relief Washington needs

Dr. John Macatee nicely repeated all of President Barack Obama and the Dems talking points from the White House Internet, but nothing says the information is other than Obama-spin (“GOP must help stop sequester,” March 1).
I have no doubt there is waste and fraud in all governmental programs. Ever since I first voted in the 1960s, governments were going to balance budgets by eliminating it. I'm still waiting. I'm sure we could find $82 billion in waste and fraud today.
We better be “preoccupied with a short-term deficit” because the short-term is now on its way past $16 trillion. Giving Obama more taxes to balance the budget is like giving a beer to a recovering alcoholic. It's time to stop sending “beer” to Washington and let them try a little “cold turkey,” i.e., the sequester.
