Seniors would lose voice with voter ID bill

Iowa voters must ask our Iowa secretary of state why he is wasting time and dollars having the Iowa Legislature work on a voter photo ID bill. Republican Matt Schultz says the bill is to combat voter fraud in Iowa elections. You must ask how many Iowa has convicted in the last 10 years. Not enough to warrant this government intrusion into our personal life, and the GOP/Tea Party hates government intrusion.
The real targets are our senior citizens. For decades they have voted. Now to get a “cheap” photo ID, they have to provide a birth certificate. Several never had a birth certificate. More time and dollars.
More will just not vote, the real purpose of the bill. Seniors tend to vote Democratic. Tell your state reps to work on jobs!
