Seniors spend money, too, you know?

In our early years of marriage, we were forced to pay 20 to 25 percent interest on loans.
Now we are seniors and have saved a little money. The government drops the interest so low we can't make any money. Now, to top that off, they won't give us a raise on Social Security for two years.
Don't they realize that seniors spend money, too? The low interest hasn't helped the economy. Maybe they should raise the interest on CDs and see if that helps.
