Senators defeated bill designed to create jobs

All I hear on televisions from Republicans is “Obama can't create any jobs.” Well, a good start would have been with a bill Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., introduced, S. 3364, Bring Jobs Home Act.
Recently, the Senate voted on whether to move forward with consideration of the Bring Jobs Home Act, which would end tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas and give them instead to companies that move jobs back to the United States. Unfortunately, there were enough votes against the bill to ultimately kill the motion to move it forward.
With a bill like this, American jobs shouldn't be held as a hostage. With high unemployment rates and some jobs on the line, almost all Republicans voted “no.”
So why, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, could you not just vote on a straight-up bill to help bring jobs back to America and help the American people? Don't complain about the unemployment rate if you couldn't vote “yes” on a bill like this.
