Searching for a stolen electric tricycle

Our son, Daniel Reed, was born with “club” feet in 1971. As a baby and toddler, he had numerous surgeries to turn his feet around to the normal position so he was able to walk. Daniel has always been very stoic and hardly ever complained about the pain he has endured through the years. But, as he approaches the age of fifty, the pain has become almost debilitating.
Although we are not wealthy and live on a fixed income, we decided to gift Daniel with a new, almost $2,000 electric motorized tricycle. When it arrived at his Cedar Rapids apartment, Dan was overjoyed and immediately called us (we live in Arizona) and told us how he was going to use it to help others by delivering groceries, etc. to shut-ins. Daniel has the wonderful heart of God’s servant. We all were very pleased with the freedom the trike gave to Daniel. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, although it was locked and attached to a bike rack in front of Geneva Tower, the tricycle was stolen. We are all heartbroken, but as God instructs, we have forgiven the unknown person(s) responsible for the theft. If you happen to see someone with a blue electric tricycle, or someone selling one, please contact the Cedar Rapids Police. Our hope is that the tricycle will be returned to Daniel.
