Saving building would be way to repair image

If St. Luke's Hospital and Physicians' Clinic of Iowa would re-purpose First Christian Church and give something back to Cedar Rapids, it would benefit their public image. Right now it is quite tattered.
Many people resent their takeover of Second Avenue (for the medical facility project) and the confusion and disruption it has caused. They don't seem enthused about a medical “mall” as well. If the hospital and PCI have enough money to buy all that land and build that huge edifice, don't they have enough to repair and save that historic building?
